You are one of a kind. There is no other person exactly like you in the whole world.
You have your own personality, skills, dreams, and challenges that will make you unique within the society you live in today.
There will always be someone who appears to be more successful, happier, or even luckier than you are.
Regardless of how well you know the other person, there’s no way that you can really find out what’s going on behind their smile.
Some of us unknowingly spend a significant amount of time around other people – at work, in our social circle, or even on the internet.
Unfortunately, this leaves you with an impression that everyone else is just inherently better than you are, always reaching new milestones and maintaining motivation while you still seem to remain stuck.
This is obviously untrue as we all know someone who seems to be doing worse than us.
2. Celebrate The Little Wins You Make Each Day
Don’t wait until you’ve reached your ultimate goal to reward yourself! Figure out what motivates you, and celebrate the small wins along the way.
Remember how awesome it was when you started learning to cook?
Those little milestones will help keep motivation at an optimum state throughout your journey or project.
What are some things that motivate you?
Receiving a high score on a project, finishing a book chapter? These smaller achievements are what keep the motivation alive over time, so take time to celebrate them!

Be gentle with yourself and avoid feeling guilty if motivation is lacking. Motivation isn’t always a straight and steady line.
We all have ups and downs. Don’t beat yourself up when motivation isn’t present, but at the same time don’t ignore motivation when it’s there either!
If you’re in need of motivation to change something in your life, consider changing what you surround yourself with.
Are you surrounded by negativity? If you find that being physically around someone who brings motivation to your life helps, then go for it!

Trying to do it all at once is overwhelming and motivation can easily slip through the cracks. Set small goals and reward yourself when you complete them.
A good example of this would be a goal-based weight loss program, where you may have daily motivation to wake up early for exercise or drink more water throughout the day.
Be realistic in setting your goals but also flexible with how you accomplish them.
Take time each week to review what you accomplished last week. Evaluate whether or not it was realistically attainable, and set new goals for this week if needed.
Aim higher next time by increasing your efforts towards motivation and self-care!
